Hello, everyone! How are you?
Today we are completing the Secret Life of a Book Blogger tag! I’m not quite sure who created this because when I searched this up, the several different search results of this tag didn’t provide any creator.
Before we begin I’d just like to apologise for this week’s lack of content, I hadn’t realised I hadn’t posted anything since the 15th, and I am truly sorry. I have been unwell and so busy with work, and I will try and crank out as many posts as I can for you and catch up.
Alas, as always, if you know, please comment down below.
For now- read on~
1. How long have you been blogging?
My first blog on this account was the ‘Tips and Tricks for Keeping Up to Date with Studying + Examples!’ post which was posted on the 2019/08/23. Now, I hope I have long since improved since then, especially with the lengthy titles.
2. At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?
I’ll most likely stop blogging when I finish Uni, and/or my passion for blogging about books ends. That, or I go broke and can’t afford to fund this blog! Whichever comes first.
3. What is the best thing about blogging?
My favourite is going back through my previous posts and realizing my growth in writing- which is my overall goal and achievement in this blog.
4. What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay?
With what I said previously, over time I have realized I have progressively gotten lazier in my writing and overtime skipped steps (this sentence for example). I believe I counteract this by actively taking measures to calculate a certain amount of time in my day to blog, so I can properly write instead of rushing it.
5. How long does it take you to find make/find pictures to use?
Usually, it takes me between 30 minutes to an hour to take the photo, but set up and finding inspiration can add an extra 20-30 minutes onto that total time- depending on the day.
6. Who is your book crush?
Need I even say it- Aaron Warner from Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. An unusual choice, but he has such redeeming qualities.
7. What author would you like to have on your blog?
I have discussed this a so many times on my blogs, however, to answer it again; PLEASE-PLEASE-PLEASE, let me interview you Cecelia Ahern, Sarah J. Maas and Lynette Noni.
8. What do you wear when you write your blog post?
To be honest, I don’t wear PJ’s or anything fancy. I literally just sit down in whatever I am wearing when the motivation springs to my mind.
9. How long does it take you to prepare?
Quite awhile, unfortunately. For the blogs it can take me between an 1-3 hours to write and structure a blog post, then I have to take or find the photos on/for my Instagram/blog which would take 30 minutes to an hour to create.
10. How do you feel about the book blogging community?
I absolutely adore it. It is so positive and supportive, and I wish I had more time to be apart of it, but with work and uni I struggle to be apart of the active community.
11. What do you think one should do to get a successful blog?
Honestly, hun. Let me know because your girl is failing. Some weeks views are soaring high and some weeks (this week) they flake. However, that has a high possibility to do with my posting, and not to do with a certain algorithm or post-genre.
Thank you all for reading, I hope you all enjoyed! I don’t have much to say here for once except that today was a get-to-know-me-more type of post as I haven’t done one of those in a long time. Anyway, I do all hope you all enjoyed, please comment down below to let me know if you did. If you don’t want to comment there you can go to my Instagram or my Twitter.
See you next time x
