New Years Reading Resolutions Tag

Hello, everyone~ How are you?
Today we are doing the 2020 New Years Book Themed Tag. I’m so excited to start the new year, so I thought why not start it off with something to fit the theme!
I’d just like to preface this by saying there is many variations of this tag out there, and I couldn’t find one difinitive tag out there, so I took 7 of the best questions and put them together.
That is all, let’s get started!

1. What is your 2020 reading challenge?

I honestly just want to try and read as many novels as I can! However, I do want to read 20-25 novels in one year. It doesn’t seem like a lot but it is for me and I haven’t reached it yet. Still trying though, I’ll get it one year!

2. What is the first novel you want to read in the new year?

Definitely ‘Weapon’ by Lynette Noni. I bought it on the Black Friday sales for 20%, and I’ve been dying to read it, but I thought why not wait till the new year. Start the year off with a bang and get a good jump start on my list!

3. What are five books you didn’t get to read this year, but want to make a priority in 2020

  1. Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
  2. Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
  3. Trust me, I’m Lying by Elizabeth Summer
  4. Twenty Questions for Gloria by Martyn Bedford
  5. Weapon by Lynette Noni

4. What are three book-related goals you want in the new year?

Well, definitely the first question, which was read 20-25 novels.
I suppose my other book-related goals would to finish my own book, finish editing it.
Actually, two separate goals here would be to finish editing and complete one of my novels and finish writing the other novel that I have had on hold for so long now.
That would be the ultimate goal but I’ve had writer’s block for so long.

5. What are three non-book related goals you want in the new year?

This might be cheating but its technically still related, but I want to reach 100 blog posts but 2021. That would be amazing.
My second goal would be to finish all of my second-year University courses entirely, that would be great!
Finally, I want to grow my Instagram, gather more support and recognition on the platform. That would be absolutely amazing. Be a dream though.

6. What is a novel that you’ve had forever, that you want to read in 2020

My partner gave me ‘Kingdom of Ash’ by Sarah J. Maas as a present at the start of the year, and I STILL haven’t gotten around to reading it. I want to read the mammoth of a book by the end of 2020, and have a massive review of it on my blog.

7. What are three of your blog goals for 2020

  1. Reach 100 blog posts
  2. Start gaining more comments
  3. Add a subscriber mailer.

All three of these would be great, but I am so far off from reaching these. I actually could think of so many more, I would love to interview a proper author on my blog, or feature a book crate, perhaps even have a guest post. So many ideas, but yet so far off. Don’t worry guys, we will get there in due time!
