Hello, everyone~ How are you?
Today we are completing the Behind the Book Blogger tag! I am so excited to complete this, and I have tried to answer to the best of my ability without going in to too much detail! Read on~
1. Why did you start blogging and why have you kept blogging?
I have always wanted to blog, but I actually started a blog because I had writer’s block with my novel (Several, several months still going strong) and I wanted something that would keep me writing in the meantime, and give me some inspiration. However, as soon as I started my blog, I almost entirely became addicted to blog writing, and have yet to find the motivation to finish my novel. One day it will happen, but not today.
2. What is your favourite type of blog post to write?
I absolutely adore writing tags, because it’s just answering personal questions about myself. Also, it’s honestly so laid back and fun, I feel like half the time I barely need to put any effort into writing a paragraph, for a paragraph to come together. I feel like I really don’t need to write repetitive paragraphs or force my brain to conjure a coherent sentence for a discussion or a how-to post- or even a review. Those take so much out of me. Don’t get me wrong though, I do just adore writing those. It’s a passion.
3. What are your top three favourite blog posts?
Oh goodness, why does it have to be this question? I post three to four times a week, and so far I have 76 published posts, with 8 drafts I’m currently working on. To choose only three of my favourite blog posts is a nightmare. So to be fair, I’ll choose my top favourite of each of my categories.
Reviews: It’s You Afterwards – A Prose by Sophia Kaanjuka | Book Review
Reason: Because of how in-depth and assistive I was. I truly wanted to help, and be informative. It’s my favourite review because of how long, and how passionate I was.
Interviews: Reviewing the Community: @luthirialbooks, @fotini.reads & @inkfinitepages | Christmas Theme
Reason: I just put so much effort into this interview and the design of the interview, I spent so many hours designing everything, and chasing the questions and constructing everything. But in the end, it was beyond worth it. I am so proud of it.
Creative Journals: Bullet Journal: Read Bookshelf
Reasons: To be honest, it is just a gorgeous entry, and I am so proud of it. Plus, I upgraded the post format and I love the design.
Tags: New Years Resolution Tag
Other: Because I adapted it to be more fitted, and I intend to use the adapted version each year and compare and contrast my answers. I just love the little idea.
Other: 10 Creative Journals You Need in Your Life Today
Reasons: Honestly, just knowing the combined creativity and journal aspect just warms my heart. I just loved doing the research and finding the photos, despite how long it did take.
Tips and Tricks: 50| Blog Post Ideas
Reasons: Only because I am constantly at a loss as to what to post, and to keep my blog post unique. And yes, this was me saying this blog post was entirely designed for myself.
4. What are some of your favourite things to do to relax?
I love playing video games to numb my brain or watching Youtube, or a TV show. Usually, I do this together (Just kidding, I always do these together. I am a Queen at multitasking). Often times I will find a short book to read on my kindle, that is low quality and usually dystopian to take me away from my worries.
5. What are three of your favourite things?
This song is going to be stuck in my head now, but I love reading, writing and gaming. Outside of computer-related things, it would definitely be shopping, cleaning (don’t judge me) and board games.
6. What are your proudest blogging moments?
One of my proudest moments was when I reached 50 blog posts, or perhaps when I started gathering a community for my interviews. The support truly resonated on Instagram and still continues.
7. What are your hobbies outside of blogging?
I have quite a few, mostly currently I focus on Bookstagramming, gaming, watching my shows, reading, creative journaling and photography. I used to do Youtube for my gaming, however, I much prefered dedicating my time to books.
8. Describe your personality in three words?
Eccentric, Introverted, Studious
I could list so many more but only three more it is difficult! I actually had to look up a list, funnily enough. My mind completely blanked. I have created so many characters, and have had no trouble creating characters with many different personality traits. However, in describing myself I immediately struggled!
9. What are your top three pet peeves?
I absolutely hate when people fold pages down more than the very tips. I understand that in a pinch you need to bend the page, but you do not, and I cannot stress this enough, need to bend half the page down to do this. My mother does this, and it drives me mad because you cannot recover the page half the time.
10. What’s something your followers don’t know about you?
To be honest, I actually have to force myself to read sometimes. Maybe I’ve said that before, but I just wanted to share it again. Despite loving books so deeply, and dedicating such a deep amount of time to books, I go through periods of time where I literally have to sit down and force my eyes to move back and forth on the page. Because, without it, I would begin to daydream for hours rather than read, if I’m not in the mood.
Thank you all for reading, I do hope you all enjoyed! It was so much fun completing this.
