Hello, everyone~ How are you?
Welcome back to another tag, I love answering these oddly random questions, as I feel like you get to know me better as not only a reader, but a person.
Again, if you know who created this please tell me down below, otherwise, enjoy reading!
1. Have you ever regifted a book that you’ve been given?
Actually, I’m pretty sure I have. Don’t judge me! Either I’ve given it to my mother, family member or an OP shop.
I’m oddly specific about the type of novels I read, and if I’m given a book I don’t like or wouldn’t choose, I’d definitely give it away. Of course, after a month waiting period so it isn’t suss.
2. Have you ever said you’ve read a book when you haven’t?
Yes. Who hasn’t? When you’re being pestered or judged about a novel that you haven’t read, I turn into a compulsive liar and say I have. Just to get people to shut up.
Mostly though, I don’t, but on the rare occasion, I’m all for it.
3. Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?
No. Unless I forgot- which isn’t likely as I know exactly where I got each book on my shelf. I don’t like borrowing books anyway, I’d rather purchase it myself. Whether that is in respect to friends and family, or libraries. I just prefer not to.
4. Have you ever read a series out of order?
I was going to say no, but I honestly did. One of the first big, proper series I read was Percy Jackson and the Lightning Theif and I bought them in a box set.
I took them all out to view, and accidentally put two novels back in, in the wrong order, so I read Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth before Titan’s curse and was so unbelievably confused.
To be honest, I actually got halfway through the novel before I realized and then got really disappointed I got spoiled and never properly finished it. I miss Year 6 in Primary School, those were good times.
5. Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?
Yes, but I always give a spoiler warning/permission before I do. I’m not that bad of a person.
6. Have you ever dog-eared a book?
Yes, sadly when in dire you must do whatever it takes.
7. Have you ever told someone you don’t own a book when you do?
I don’t think so, I probably have accidentally but not anything that I can think of.
8. Have you ever told someone you haven’t read a book when you have?
Uhm yes? Little me didn’t want anyone to know I had read Fifty Shades of Grey on my Ipad, in the dark, at like 2 am.
9. Have you ever skipped a chapter or a section of a book?
Yesss, but only for small paragraphs or pages, not entire chapters. Don’t judge me!
Sometimes an author gets too descriptive, or the dialogue is too long. Sometimes the paragraph is just super boring. It’s hard not to skim or avert your eyes.
10. Have you ever bad-mouthed a book you actually liked?
This is a difficult one. What constitutes bad-mouthing? I can critique a novel I enjoyed, but I don’t think I have directly or vindictively bad-mouthed a novel I enjoyed.
Thank you all for reading, I hope you enjoyed!
I love writing all of these because I would never think of these types of questions! But maybe I’ll create my own one, one day.
As always, if you have any answers you’d like to provide or any tags you want me to do, feel free to comment down below. If that doesn’t work for you I will tag my Instagram and Twitter where you can comment there. See you in the next post!
