Bookish Interviews @pagesandhappiness

Hello, everyone~ How are you?
Today I have the pleasure of meeting and interviewing the amazing- @pagesandhappiness! She is an up-and-coming Bookstagrammer with a creative eye for photography.
Like always, I’d just like to preface this by saying it is my goal to support other Bookstagrammers around me and grow our little community of readers! Now, read on!

@pagesandhappiness: “My name is Candela Lopez, from Argentina. I’m living in the US since this year. Lawyer and Potterhead, I’m a booklover since I was 10 years old. My favourite quote:
* I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library. Jorge Luis Borders *”

As always, I’d like to thank you for allowing me to interview you for my eccentric blog!

Our first question of the day is a simple question: What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading: The Life and Lies of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, and The Bookish Life of Nina Hill

2. What motivated you to create your Instagram?

I love to read since I was ten years old. In both English and in Spanish. Also, I love to take photos of the books I read. I’m a very bookish person, and love to buy things for my bookshelf. My other reason would be to share my lectures to other people in my community (Instagram) and learn from them.

3. Where did you collect the items that you use in your photos?

I bought all the items on my journeys. For example, to Uk and US. Now I am living in the US, but I’m from Argentina so a lot of things are from there too. As I’m a Potterhead, I love to buy Harry Potter items!

4. How do you set up a scene for a photo?

[To create the photos] I think of the photos I’ve seen in the community, [I then think of] the items available in my home (I’m on my way to bring more stuff from my home in Argentina), and the book I want to [use for] the photo for the post.

5. Would/have you ever create/d a blog?

I don’t have any type of blog and never had.
I don’t know if I would create one, I’m pretty new to this book community! Maybe in the future I can create my own blog (of books, of course!).

6. How do you grow your Bookstagram?

I constantly follow more people to my account and share the likes that the people of the community give to me. I learn so much about the posts of other people, even though I don’t review any book.

7. Do you have any tips for other growing Bookstagrammers?

Try to post all that they feel. Nobody is perfect, and we have a lot to learn from each other. It is so cool to know that a lot of people love to read as oneself.

8. Have you ever wanted to give up your Bookstagram?

No, because I learn a lot every day and love to read the publications. It is not about competition, or have more and more likes. It is about sharing the passion for reading that all of us have!

9. Are all the photos on your Instagram yours?

Yes, at the moment all the photos of my Instagram were taken by me. I have photos in my home, in the park, and in museums or Public Libraries.

10. What is something you wished you did earlier, but didn’t?

Definitively taken more pictures for my Instagram in a lot of locations that I didn’t take before. Also, to create my Instagram earlier!

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions, I hope to see your Instagram more in the Bookstagram community!
